Eliz Medina is a Florida-based professional voice actor and vocalist who was raised in Miami after moving to the United States from Cuba at the age of four with her parents and siblings. She learned English through school and cartoons, adapting quickly to her new environment and language. A pivotal moment came when she watched a behind-the-scenes feature of Jodi Benson bringing The Little Mermaid to life, which sparked an early fascination with animated storytelling and character performances.Raised in a family that loves music, Eliz was introduced to performance early on by her grandfather, a trained musician from Havana, Cuba, who taught her piano, guitar, and vocals. She later drew inspiration from Taylor Swift, writing her own songs as a creative outlet. She also took theater, piano, ballet and dance classes as a teenager, further developing her performance skills and artistry. These experiences laid the foundation for her voice acting career.Eliz is passionate about bringing stories and characters to life through her voice. She has worked on English dubbing for children’s animated series and films, voicing major and minor characters, and contributed to an indie cinematic audiobook project. With a versatile vocal range, a musical background, and a professional home studio, Eliz blends emotion, clarity, and artistry into every performance — from animation to live-action, narration, and commercial work.When she’s not voice acting, Eliz produces content, song covers, and fan dubs for her YouTube channel and TikTok. She enjoys traveling with her husband, spending time at home with their two corgis and loved ones, reading books, and is a fan of Korean dramas and Japanese anime. She draws inspiration from fellow performers in the industry, including Cherami Leigh Asuna in Sword Art Online, Cristina Vee Hawk in The Seven Deadly Sins, and Mikaela Hoover Chopper in One Piece Live Action. Eliz continues to refine her craft through workshops led by notable voice actors, directors, and sound engineers. Anime Dallas Pro workshops

Instructed by the top actors, directors and sound engineers in the field

Eliz trained at the Anime Dallas Pro Workshops, building a strong foundation in both the technical and artistic sides of voice acting. She developed skills in script analysis, creative reading, and making intentional performance choices, even in cold reads and limited-context auditions. Learning directly from industry professionals, she gained experience in anime dubbing, studio recording processes, vocal techniques, and on-the-spot direction. Her training emphasized character creation, adaptability through improv-based “state of play” exercises, and emotional authenticity. She also explored the business side of voice acting and connected with working professionals at the Anime Dallas Pro Mixer.

Eliz completed this comprehensive dubbing program for beginners, gaining the skills and experience needed to pursue a voice acting career in movies, series, and animations. She developed her voice, diction, projection, and emotional expression, mastered dubbing techniques like synchronization and timing, and recorded professional scripts under studio guidance. The program also provided insight into the global dubbing industry and strategies for establishing herself as a professional. Through this training, Eliz built practical skills, real-world experience, and the confidence to step into the dubbing industry with a strong foundation.
